Rotary Supports Halton Fresh Food Box

Community Service Co-Chair of the Community Service Committee of The Rotary Club of Burlington Lakeshore has has made a significant donation to the Halton Food Box, affording it the purchase of 200 new, reusable food grade plastic delivery boxes.
These boxes ensure that quality fresh fruit and vegetables are delivered to over 900individuals and families monthly. in a safe and protected manner. Priority is given to the region's 19,000 residents who live in poverty.
The donation enhances the ability of the program to expand its reach. enabling more families and individuals to access healthy food. The Rotary Club of Burlington Lakeshore is able to support such local initiatives due to the success of Canada's Largest Ribfest, which it host every Labour Day Weekend at Spencer Smith Park.
