Our annual Youth Exchange Ski Trip is fast approaching!  This year we have again reserved the Mountaineers Baker Lodge for Friday January 31st through Sunday February 2nd.  Host Families, YEOs, Counselors, Club members, friends and family are encouraged to participate.  We will need 4 chaperones. You are ALL invited to attend!  In addition to the 13 students we have 17 additional spots reserved, and can add to that if needed. This is a great outing for families whether you choose to ski/snowboard, snowshoe, cross country or just enjoy the winter mountain environment.

Here is the initial information about the ski weekend.  Some details are yet to be worked out, particularly transportation (times, meeting places) which will largely be determined by who, and how many participate.

We will plan to arrive at the Mt Baker Mountaineers lodge in the early evening Friday, and will plan to eat dinner prior to arrival in Glacier, WA, as there is not food service Friday evening.  We will bring snacks for the evening.
We will ski/snowboard on Saturday (lessons and gear will be provided for students who have not skied or do not have gear) and will likely also ski Sunday (weather dependent), with departure before mid-afternoon Sunday.  For those who do not wish to downhill ski, there are areas available to snowshoe or cross-country ski.  You will need your own gear.

The lodging cost for students and 4 chaperones will be taken care of (incentive to sign up as a chaperone!).  Lift tickets, and gear/lessons (if needed) will be covered for our students.  For other guests, the cost is as follows:

2 nights lodging, breakfast Saturday and Sunday, and dinner Saturday night,  $98 ($63 kids to age 13)
Lift tickets are  $70 per day ($43 age 11-15)

If you decide to go, you must commit to attend by December 22, 2019 by emailing Greg Starup at gstarup@frontier.com.  Please indicate the names and ages of each person attending.  If you wish to chaperone also let me know right away.

More will follow (especially more snow!!!)
