A wonderful Friendship Feast was held at Anne's on Saturday, November 17th. About 30 members along with spouses gathered together where Anne and Maggie hosted the event. Exquisite appetizers went well with the abundant flow of libations and a delicious meal was served buffet style. I think it's safe to say we all thoroughly enjoyed the company and that a good time was had by all.

This years annual crab feed was a tremendous success! With many thanks to all of the club members and committees for the countless hours and devotion and team work they did to make this night happen. Over 550 people enjoyed a delightful meal of bread, salad, pasta, crab and ice cream dessert. A few table captains went over and above on a little friendly table decorating competition adding to the already beautiful ambiance of the Veteran's Hall. There are far too many people to thank but hopefully looking through some of the nights pictures you will recall the evening with warm memories and look forward to next years 2020 annual crab feed.

The tradition cont.....
In 1999 Harvey Freetly suggested that Rotarians use Club funds earmarked for children in the community by joining forces with the Sonoma County Literacy Coalition. The Club purchased 400 children’s dictionaries and the Literacy Coalition donated another 600 for distribution to children in the Petaluma area. Harvey later recruited Rotary clubs in the six-county Rotary District 5130 that already had small-scale dictionary projects. Soon Rotary clubs statewide were involved. Almost 10,000 dictionaries have been given away annually in District 5130 the past four years. As stated previously, all proceeds from the Friendship Feasts are the funding source for this program.
