Rotary Splash Park Groundbreaking July 16, 2018
The Groundbreaking Ceremony held at the site of of the Rotary Splash Park in Norman Park was very well attended by Rotarians, supporters and plenty of children. President Lynn Carlson welcomed everyone, acknowledged our partners - City of Kenora, Northwestern First Nations Elder Jeanette Skead blessed the land, Mayor Canfield spoke about what a great addition the splash park will be for Kenora, and thanked Rotary for their gift to the city. Splash Park Committee Chair Deb LeMaistre acknowledged and thanked the major donors and all who have contributed to our fundraising efforts.
Groundbreaking was completed with the turning of the sod and a barbecue, complete with a beautiful cake.
