We have one birthday, Dion Bird on the 12th, one anniversary, Don & Shirley Murphy on the 12th, no makeups, one visiting Rotarian- Eva Vida, guests-Bruce and Curtis Unfried, and Chicha, exchange student.
There is no correspondence.
Last week’s CTBO winner, Robert Nechvetal, was present to make this week’s draw. Prio to that, he was presented with a cheque in the amount of $801.00.
Robert drew Quinton Demchynski’s ticket. Quinton chose number 39, which revealed the 5 of diamonds. Quinton wins the consolation prize in the amount of $729.00, and will be invited to make next week’s draw. Next week’s jackpot starts at $13,460.00. Don and Peter will sell at the Grub Box on Saturday, Kent will sell Friday. John will be at No Frills on Thursday, Margaret will sell there Friday.
Don McKay noted that October 24th is World Polio Day.
Eva Vida introduced Winnipeg Rotary Club’s exchange student, Chicha, who brought greetings, and spoke on her first impressions of Canada.
Eva gave a presentation on the Rotary Foundation of Canada. She is currently the vice president, and in December will be the president of the foundation. She explained that grants are available in the district, as well as globally. Eva also spoke on eligibility for Paul Harris Fellowship awards.
The Fish Fry went very well. Don would like everyone to ponder over the next week on things we could do differently for the next event. We will discuss at next week’s meeting
The digital sign rental ranges from $125 to $250 per month, depending on the number of plays. This will be discussed at the executive meeting.
50/50 John’s ticket was drawn, and he found the Ace!!! Congratulations on that and on being sargent next week!
The next regular meeting is on October 24.
The next executive meeting is also on October 24 prior to the regular meeting.
The meeting ended with the four- way test.
