* The meeting started with the land acknowledgement.
* We have one birthday – Crystal on November 15th; no anniversaries, no
makeups, no visiting Rotarians, no guests
* The minutes of November 5 will be verified at the next meeting.
* There is no correspondence and no presentations.
* Catch the Big One –
* 883 tickets were sold. Joy Koshel’s ticket was pulled. She
picked number 45 which revealed the nine of hearts. Joy wins the consolation of
$883.00. Next week’s jackpot starts a $35,232.50.
* Sellers this week: Grub Box Saturday – Doug Long
No Frills – Wednesday – Gerry; Thursday morning – Connie; Thursday afternoon –
Don Dunnigan; Friday – Denis
* Board of Director’s report
- $1000 to the Tri Community Foundation was approved as in the budget
- $300.00 was donated to Mr. Ladoucer so that he can purchase food while
in the city for cancer treatments
- Room rental to the Wescana will be paid from general funds for now. An
inquiry has been sent to lotteries to see if it can be paid from there.
- Fish Fry – income was $12,285.00, expenses were $5,944.00 for a profit of
$6,341.00. Some expenses may still be forthcoming. The silent auction
raised $2,680.00
* An income report for tent rentals from May 2024 to October 2024 was
distributed. The overall profit for this period is $760.00.
* Our exchange student, Joao, gave a brief report on his trip to Churchill. Rick gave
a report on the student experiences as well.
* Robin spoke on ongoing talks of moving the inukshuk from the corner of Edwards
and 2nd Street.
* 50/50 – Don Murphy had his ticket drawn, sadly his golf membership for next year
will not be paid from the 50/50 – but – he does get to be sargeant next week!
The meeting concluded with the four -way test.
