We have three birthdays, Peter, Linda and Don McKay, happy anniversary to Rick and Fran Hubbs, no makeups, no visiting Rotarians, one guest – Kevin Bagnell
CTBO – 626 tickets were sold this week. Last week’s winner, Kevin Bagnell, drew Andrew McKay’s ticket. He chose number 14, which revealed the six of diamonds. Andrew wins the consolation prize of $626.00. Next week’s jackpot starts at $16,428.50.

Fred Wright would like our club to submit a report on the number of volunteer hours our club gives to the community. This is to calculate the annual economic impact volunteerism has on communities.
New to You – Monica is spearheading a radio pledge-a-thon to raise funds for the New to You. The Kinsmen and Kinettes will also be involved, and Monica is looking for Rotary volunteers to help with the radio-thon.
At the very least our club will provide letters of support for any funding requests sent out to support New to You.
The photo that was taken with Connie last week will be forwarded, along with a write up, to the Opasquia Times.
An e-transfer has been sent to Rotary in Winnipeg for the Cormorant hygiene project.
May 25 is the community summer clean up and barbecue. It starts at Devon Park. Any Rotarians participating are asked to wear their jerseys.
The MBCI grad breakfast is on June 27. Six volunteers are required to make it happen.
Meals on Wheels
Gerry is unable to deliver on the 28th and 30th. Margaret has volunteered to deliver on those days.
Connie Lucien will be at the meeting on the 21st to discuss Canada Day celebrations.
Rick gave a report on the district convention. Members of our club donated 12 bottles of liquor, which sold for $750.00
The 2025 Rotary International Convention is in Calgary. Rick strongly encourages everyone to attend.
District has $250k in the bank. Rick proposes that this be used for district grants such as the walking path.
The RYLA camp lost 20 beds this year and Rick also proposes that this money be used to build another cabin with 16 beds.
Kelsey school sent a letter requesting funding for their swim program in the 2024-25 school year. This year 330 students participated in the program. Opasquia and Kelsey schools both received $4000 and it should be a budget item in the upcoming budget.
The next Board of Director’s meeting is on the 28th of May.
Gary suggested a social gathering at the airport in June.
50/50 – Gerry was drawn, no luck. He will be sgt. next week.
