The meeting started with the land acknowledgement.
We have one birthday, Carol; one anniversary – Denis and Rita Watier, no makeups, no visiting Rotarians, one guest – Mike Connor with Manitoba Lotteries.
CTBO – 892 tickets were sold this week. Roy George had his ticket drawn. He chose number 7, which revealed the two of clubs. Roy wins the consolation prize of $892.00. Next week’s jackpot starts at $19,904.00.

Correspondence – A donation request letter from Kelsey School was circulated.
Board of Directors
We will be donating $500 to the pledge a thon and will be challenging other service clubs to meet or beat our donation.
A sign- up sheet for the social event on July 13 was passed around. Jan McDonald is to be added to the list of invited guests.
The Paul Harris nominees are to be approved by executive, and pins and certificates are to be ordered by Don McKay.
The policy for non- member meals – if they are invited by the club, their meal will be covered by the club. If they are attending on their own, they are to pay for their meal.
New Business
Don McKay will stay on as President for the next year.
Unfinished Business – There will be a meeting on Canada Day celebrations on June 7th.
Fireworks - $13k has been confirmed for the fireworks. They display will be held at the Ag Grounds, as they have the space for the event. People will be needed to help clean up the grounds after the event.
Jim Berscheid suggested that a Community Spirit Committee be formed.
Mural – Doug has been in contact with Little John, and we are shooting for delivery at the end of June.
The Grad breakfast will be at the Metis Hall. The 3 a.m. serving time is to be confirmed. We will check with the Legion to see if we can borrow their canopies to cook under.
We donated money to help Namirembi Afatsawo attend the national Skills Competition in Montreal. She came home with a bronze medal for public speaking. Way to Go Nami!!!
Past member, Murray Harvey, passed away last week. We will honour him with a donation once arrangements are made.
50/50 – Gerry was drawn, but the cards were MIA. He will be sgt. next week, and will draw a card then.
The meeting concluded with the four -way test.
