Rotary Club of The Pas Meeting of Tuesday, January 9th, 12:00 P.M. Wescana Rendezvous Room Minutes

a. CTBO – Tickets for the next round will be handed out on Tuesday,

     Feb 20^th with the draw happening two weeks later on Tuesday,

     March 5^th. Don Dunnigan will be out of town and Kent Whaley has

     offered to pick up tickets/posters. The pot will start with a $5 000

     jackpot. There was a discussion about a lower jackpot and offering

     $1 000 for drawing any of the other 3 aces - A      , A      and A  .

     It was decided not to proceed with this as it would require the

     approval of Manitoba Lotteries 

a. Trappers’ Festival – Shirley Rivalin has asked Rotary to hand out   

    hot chocolate at the end of the parade. It was suggested that the

    parade end on The Pas side of the river. There is a larger take up of

    the hot chocolate when the parade ends up on the The Pas side

    versus the OCN side. It will be discussed at the next Trappers’

    Festival committee meeting. There was a fish derby last year but

    Rotary was not asked to run it or help at it. The same can be said

  about the Trappers’ events at MBCI. Our position is this is not our

  show as such. We will help if asked.
