1) Mike Wyman – reported that a group called “Children in Crisis” represented by Kevin Bernstrom will be covering the $2000.00 requested by the Kelsey School Division to help pay for next generation hearing aids for a disabled student. Rotary may be asked to cover any unforeseen costs at a future time.
2) Mike Dickens- Made a presentation to the EMS group in the amount of $1250.00 to help defray cost in purchasing a new Snowbulance for winter rescues.
3) PETS – The schedule for the pre Pets and dates for PETS training were passed out to 2 Perspective President – elect candidates. PETS is March 16-18, 2017.
4) Rick Hubbs - Rick Hubbs presented schedule and budget for Winterfest. 20 Exchange students will be in The Pas for a weekend on outdoor and cultural Activities. Saturday night there will be a banquet at the Wescana Inn which will also serve as a recruitment event for the club. All members are requested to bring a guest who could become a club member. Current club members will pay for selves and partners, club will pay for one guest. Partners of guests will be responsibility of club member. Cost is $35.00/person. Rick submitted a budget for the event (attached)
Entertainment will cost about $2500.00 for the event (magician/Comedian).
Motion: That the Rotary Club of The Pas commit $2500.00 for entertainment for the Winterfest/recruitment event. Club will also pay for the dinner of 1 guest per member.

5) Linda Northcott - Linda advised that the meetings of February 7 and February 14 will be held in the Wescana Inn banquet room.
6) Trapper’s Festival- Crystal Morrish requested volunteers to act as referees for the Ball Hockey tournament to be held on the Saturday of Trapper’s – Feb.18.
Rick Hubbs asked for six volunteers to help work the ice fishing derby the same day. Nati, Gary, Linda volunteered so far.
