     5. Correspondence: 
  1. Correspondence has been received from Val Berschied (Ag Society).  Val will be making a presentation to our Club next week on January 30.
  2. On February 27 Lisa Gibb will be attending our meeting next week to share information about the Skills Competition for high school students.  
  1. Committee Reports:
a. Catch The Big One (CTBO).  The next round of CTBO ticket sales will begin February 20, with the first draw on March 5, 2024.
  1. Rotary Board of Directors Report: 
a.       Don shared that the Board has reviewed the financial reports for 2022-23 (July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023) with Dion Bird from Baker Tilly.  The Board has approved donations of $1,000 to The Pas HandiVan (Rick Hubbs confirmed that this amount will go into their account for repairs, maintenance, etc.  He also mentioned that we need to supply them with the large Rotary decals for the Handi-Van) and $500 to Ducks Unlimited, and $200 towards sponsoring the MBCI Yearbook.  These were budgeted items.
  1. New Business: 
a. Rotary Website.  Don has made some adjustments to the ClubRunner website and asks that Members review the website and advise him of any comments or suggestions they may have. Don is also requesting that if anyone has past minutes that they share those with him and he will upload to the site.

  1. Exchange Student and RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award): Rick shared that a cousin of one of the former exchange students is interested in coming to The Pas as an exchange student next year.  Rick also thanked Linda for taking the Melfort exchange student to Flin Flon – the trip was appreciated and enjoyed.
  2. Presentations:  There are no presentations today, however, Lisa Gibb will make a presentation on February 27 about the MB Skills Competition held locally (the “southern Competition will be held in April).  Rotary has made a contribution of $500 to support students taking part in this event.  
  3. Unfinished Business:
    1. Meals on Wheels - Vulnerable Persons check.  If you wish to volunteer for Meals on Wheels, please ensure you complete the required records check with the RCMP.  The Rotary letter has been prepared by Don McKay and is available from Monica – this will allow waiver of the fee for this request.
    2. Trappers Festival hot chocolate serving:  The members who have confirmed to volunteer are:  Kent Whaley, Peter Totte, Don Murphy, John Pierson, Don McKay and Doug Long.
  4. Installation of New Members: None.
  5. Club 100th Anniversary (2029) PERMANENT AGENDA ITEM:
