Approval of Minutes of January 7th
Catch the Big One – Tickets will be sold the last week of February with first draw March 4th. There will be four weeks of tickets and posters for pick up and Don Dunnigan thinks he will be back for this. We need to have promo out before this to let everyone know we are back in business. There was lots of conversation around the sale of the tickets and how to use Facebook to our advantage. Rick is meeting in Melfort this weekend with the District guru in this area. It was suggested that we contact Rob White about putting it on the board outside the arena.
100th anniversary legacy project: Robin had contacted Jonathon Lalonde to see where the town was with improving the river area. Jonathon informed us that the Town was looking at what could be done at Devon Park in the way of amenities. An example he gave was places for small businesses to sell their products, washrooms, a permanent place for Trappers’ Festival, cleaning up and improving the parking lot, boat launch and fish cleaning station. The town will be looking for partners to help achieve the improvements. If we have a proposal Jonathon would like us to send it to him and he will present it to the town.
As a club we need to decide on one project that we would like to spearhead.
Don McKay will pick up paper copies of the proposed plan for the area.
Jonathon also informed us that the rerouting of the main highway is being looked at again and designs are supposed to be finished for June 3rd.
Meeting was ended with the Four Way Test.
We are at the A&W again next week.
