10. New Business:
      a. CJAR – The new monthly cost for our radio spots is $193.10 including taxes. It was agreed that we would continue with the
spots, including the CTBO weekly update and we will need to ensure that a Rotarian is assigned/available to provide weekly
           updates.
      b. UCN Linkages reception. Tuesday, October 8th from 4 pm to 8 pm is when UCN has asked for assistance. They have asked
for 6 to 8 people to assist with the bar in the foyer from 4 pm until 6 pm. If CTBO is still running, we will also sell tickets at
the event. We will also assist with the bar during dinner, and assist with clean up if we have Members available. A number of
Members volunteered – UCN will be advised that Rotary will assist with this event.
11. Unfinished Business:
      a. Patronage booklet – This will be discussed at the next meeting – decisions need to be made soon if we will be doing this as a
          fundraising project.
      b. Northern View Lodge Financial Assistance Request – Gerry is looking further into this, and if there is no updated information
within a reasonable time, we will have a defibrillator machine purchased through Costco and donate it to the Lodge. Michael
checked the cost of the machines at Costco, and it is considerably less than the quote the Lodge had been provided. We will
want to ensure proper training for use of the machine takes place in advance of it being installed. Gerry mentioned that Trent
Allen is also involved and assisting with this project.

MOTION: Kent Whaley/Don Dunnigan: That The Rotary Club of The Pas purchase a defibrillator for Northern View Lodge.            Carried.
      c. Fish Fry 2024 – The Fish Fry will be held on Saturday, September 21st at the Legion Hall. Gerry has arranged for the liquor
license. Rick will ensure there are enough cooks available, and we will need to also ensure there are enough bartenders
(Kristi, Crystal are available) and cooks’ helpers. This will be further discussed at the next few meetings, and we will want to
confirm all details within the next two weeks. Most tasks are assigned, the sign-up list will be updated next week, and if
anything is outstanding, the list will be updated.
12. Club Banners: Don McKay will provide updated information upon his return in two weeks.
13. Exchange Student and RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award): Reports will be made at a September meeting once students are back to school. We still need a host family for the exchange student
arriving at the end of August – This is becoming more urgent, please share the need with others!
14. Installation of New Members: None.
15. Club 100th Anniversary (2029) PERMANENT AGENDA ITEM
16. & $$$ Sargent at Arms Next Week: Don Murphy

18. Four-Way Test:
       Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
