2. Guests : Ally Buck – ShelterBox remote presentation at 12:10
                   Val Uffelman – Kent Whaley introduced Val. Val is the current President of Kinettes in The Pas. Val has been with CASARA for many years, and she is currently the Coordinator of The Pas Tri-Community Foundation. Val is
                                             also employed by Endow Manitoba (Winnipeg Foundation). She is a prospective member for our Club in the future.

4. Birthdays and Anniversaries : None None
5. Approval of Minutes : The minutes of April 16th, 2024 were approved.
6. Presentations : Ally Buck - ShelterBox presentation. Ally provided a very informative presentation and related videos about ShelterBox. Our Club thanked her, and Ally answered any questions which arose. Ally provided information
                             about the contributions which The Rotary Club of The Pas has made in the past – this includes 14 ShelterBoxes from 2010-20. After the presentation, we discussed our support for ShelterBox and whether we will support
                             more than one ShelterBox this year. Doug Long confirmed that for the past number of years, we have budgeted for one, and this year we had discussed supporting two ShelterBoxes. Motion: That The Rotary Club of The
                             Pas donate two ShelterBoxes for 2024. Moved by Monica Cook, Seconded by Rick Hubbs. Carried Kent mentioned that some years ago, we had a tent and other items from ShelterBox in order to set up and promote the
                             program and share with the community how Rotary Club of The Pas Minutes Meeting of Tuesday, April 23rd, 12:00 P.M. Wescana Rendezvous Room ShelterBox works, and the great support they supply to those
                             communities in need. Don McKay will check with the original ShelterBox representative who was in touch with him to see if they can provide the tent and any other supporting materials which share what the current
                             ShelterBox provides.
7. Correspondence : None.
8. Committee Reports: a. Catch The Big One (CTBO). The draw was won today by Dawn Madden - $649 tickets were sold this week. We need to up sales again – all Members please step up to sell as many as you can. Monica confirmed
                                            that we now have confirmation that we can sell at the Otineka Mall as well – Mondays and Thursdays from 2 PM to 6 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM. We need to fill as many spots as we can – please
                                            consider assisting with ticket sales in this way, as the tickets at the tills in various stores are not selling as well as they have in the past.
9. Board of Directors Report: The Rotary Board will meet right after this meeting – there will be a report at the next meeting.
10. New Business : a. Club Runner has been upgraded with a number of changes – please take time to review on-line to become familiar with the new website.
11. Unfinished Business: a. CTBO Rounds 2, 3, 4 & 5. The list of winners has been updated and Don McKay has provided this document for anyone who wishes to use it when they are selling their tickets. Thank you to Don for doing this
                                             work.
                                           b. Patronage coupon book. Further discussion about this potential fundraiser will take place at a future meeting.
                                           c. July 2024 to June 2025 Budget items – Forward suggestions to Doug as the budget is bring prepared for the next fiscal year.
                                           d. Rotary branded hats and other items – Don McKay confirmed the order for hats has gone in and will be notified when they are ready. Don is also going through various Rotary boxes and storage locations as he
                                               searches for Rotary banners, and will provide a list of what he finds to make available for Members to determine if they can use any of these items.
                                           e. Printer/copier acquisition i. Set up location. We need to make a determination within the week as to where the printer from Connie (PaperWorks Plus). Don McKay will check back with Robin to see if there is a
                                                                                            space at the Museum. Don D. will check with Jen Early at the Town of The Pas as he has not yet heard back, and it appears there is not an option a the Kin Centre. Michael offered
                                                                                             his shop to be available for temporary storage if a permanent location is not confirmed within this timeframe. Ideally we would find a permanent spot so that we (and Connie) can
                                                                                             have access whenever needed, but unfortunately this is not guaranteed.
                                                                                        ii. Computer for the Rotary Club of The Pas. Thank you to Gerry Miller for arranging a “free” computer from the School Division for our Club. Trevor Lane and Ian Mitchell assisted
                                                                                            with this endeavoru and this has saved the Club dollars which can be used for other purposes. Good news for the Club! f. May 10 & 11 Rotary Conference Club Banners with stand –
                                                                                             Don McKay continues to seek these out.
                                            g. May 10 & 11 Rotary Conference Club event/fund raiser display- Thank you to Don McKay for putting together the fundraising display with updated photos of our Club at work in the community for various
                                                fundraisers.
12. Club Banners : As noted, so far the existing banners have not been located, and we will check back with Tim on the status of new banners. 
13. Exchange Student and RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) : Julia reported that RYLA has agreed that The Rotary Club of The Pas can send all of the interested students this year. More good news!
14. Installation of New Members: None.
15. Club 100th Anniversary (2029) PERMANENT AGENDA ITEM: Monica reported on her attendance at the Rotary Club of Estevan and shared some ideas to be discussed within our Club for preparing and holding our 100th in 2029
                                                                                                                      (eg. consider holding various events throughout the year, with a final event (i.e. banquet or community gathering) in the actual month of our 100th). Monica
                                                                                                                       mentioned the importance of time to visit with guests, current and former Rotarians from The Pas and guests from other Clubs – time to share ideas and
                                                                                                                       appreciation.

17. April 23 - The Board meeting will take place after today’s Member meeting.
       April 30 – Namirembi Afatsawo will present on her recent experience at the Manitoba Skills competition in Winnipeg.
18. Four-Way Test: Is it the TRUTH?
                                Is it FAIR to all concerned?
                                Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
                                 Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
