a.Canada Day.There is some confusion about the timing for the raising of the Rotary flag for July 1.The correct information is that we will gather at 9:00 AM at the flag site, and the flag will be raised at 9:30 AM.

a. Catch The Big One – Kirk Mak’s name was drawn today and he did not find the Ace of Spades, but did win the consolation prize of $1,543.
9. Board of Directors Report:
a. Northern Lights Seniors Housing Project – A letter of support has been agreed to, but we will not state a specific amount of financial contribution at this time.

12. Exchange Student. Johanna Phillips had sent an update on May 30, and will be returning to Canada on August 10.
13. RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award): No report.

Notes: Gary Morrish noted that Bob Murray and his daughter will be having a small graveside ceremony for Maureen’s memorial on July 23 at 12:30 at The Pas Cemetery, with a luncheon to follow at the Kin Centre. They are inviting specific Rotarians to be involved and have asked that the number of those who will attend be shared with them before July 23.
John Pierson mentioned that it was brought to his attention that there is a problem with beavers damaging the trees at the pond behind Snakland and wondered if anyone in Rotary could assist. Kent shared that he has raised this issue numerous times to no avail and can raise it again, but in the meantime it was agreed that we would get a few Rotarians together and put on chicken wire to protect the trees that remain around the pond.
