6. Presentations: a. Rod Berezowecki - update on the Northern Lights Seniors Housing Project (30 units).Rod reported that things are moving ahead with the planning for the study on the Housing Project. They have engaged the services on an engineering/architectural design company (Peter Hargraves) to begin working on additional funding applications.Rod shared that Peter is the person who also (as an aside) builds the ice palace for Trappers’ Festival and the ice structure in Flin Flon.Peter attended a meeting of the Project Committee and is willing to assist fully with this project – right from square one with funding application assistance and to the end of the project. This will cover upwards of $75,000 of the funding needed, and then he will be involved with the geo-technical and engineering design work and environmental and subdivision work (4.3 acres just east of Valhalla is what the Town has provided for this project, and this is what will be subdivided for the project). The Town has agreed to a 5-year agreement (beyond that, it will be year to year) and will put sewer and water in as well.Peter is very familiar with the process and the application for funding will go through CMHC which he has been involved with previously.Rod did make clear that Manitoba Housing would not be involved in the project beyond the layer of funding which may be available for this type of project – the intent is that this will be a co-operative model. The Tri-Community Foundation has provided $1,500, the RM of Kelsey has provided $5,000 and we have also applied to the Moffatt Fund.Rod wanted to advise the Club of this updated information and that if the project does not go through the application phase, funding will be returned. At this time, they do not need to know a specific amount, but interested to know that Rotary is supportive of the project.
Our Club confirmed that we are supportive of the project and willing to write a letter of support as needed – and in future can determine a specific amount of funding again if needed.

7. Correspondence: None

8. Committee Reports:
   a. Catch The Big One.  Don Dunnigan reported we are at week 37, and the longest we have gone is 42 weeks and that was the first CTBO draw that the Club had held.  Today Carlo Nabess won the consolation of $1,503, and the Ace of Spades is still hiding.

        b. Summer Ticket Sales – We will sell tickets until Tuesday, June 30, and if the Ace of Spades is not found by that date, we will take a break over July and August and begin selling again in September, with the first Fall draw being held on September 15.

9. Board of Directors Report:  None.

10. Unfinished Business:
      a. Rotary Club Dinner at Clearwater Lake:  The agenda for the evening will be finalized by next week.  District Governer Wayne Jacobsen and his wife will be attending.  Available Club members will meet at the Hall at noon on June 12 to set up.  Monica will confirm numbers for the order with Berschieds and will contact the Grub Box as Gary will be away, and Linda confirmed that the Wescana will rent us tablecloths.  Don McKay will emcee and present Paul Harris Awards along with the District Governor Wayne Jacobsen, and Don Dunnigan will be Sargent at Arms.  We will want to ensure that spouses of past members are invited – this was confirmed that all spouses have been invited.  Next year we should be more formal about the invitations and confirmations for guests.
    b.  Lobster Pots.  Peter Totte confirmed that Jim Berschied will take the lobster pots for the Ag Grounds.  This is good news that the community can still use the pots for events in the future… and if we ever want to run a lobster fest (drive-by or otherwise), the pots are still available locally.

18. Four-Way Test:
        Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
