The Rotary Club of Sylvan Lake launched Dolly Parton's Imagination Library on July 1st, 2026. As of the end of July we had almost 100 children signed up!
The Sylvan Lake Rotary Club launched Imagination Library with no advertising or Social Media news, despite that, (and the assistance of a shout out from Sans Bakeshop) the news of the availability of Imagination Library in community seemed to have spread like wildfire. We are very excited that Imagination Library's alignment with Rotary's Areas of Focus allowed us to select a project for the Sylvan Community that will benefit the younger children in the community and will help them develop important literacy skills that will prepare them for Kindergarten. As it is our summer break, we are meeting somewhat irregularly, but we will be returning to our regular meeting schedule (the second and the fourth Tuesday of the month) starting on September 8th, 2026. You are welcome to join us at The Lighthouse Community Eatery at 6:15PM to learn more about Sylvan Lake Rotary and our projects in the community
