Cynthia Leigh: Recreation & Tourism

Cynthia calls herself the Big Kahuna, a very well deserved title. She has owned and operated the Zoo Cruise, Sylvan Lake's popular cruise boat for 11 years. She offers private and public cruises, which include meal and beverage service on her boat. Cruises may range from one hour day cruises to three hour evening cruises and customer have the option of enjoying a dinner or barbecue. Cruises are designed to fit every customer's style and budget. Cynthia was attracted to owning a cruise boat as it allowed her to spend her days on beautiful Sylvan Lake working with a variety of people. The idea of a cruise boat on Sylvan Lake sparked Cynthia's creativity and allowed her to come up with a unique business venture, which has proved to be very successful. To own and operate a tour boat individuals need to be outgoing, self motivated, flexible, creative, hard working and have the ability to think well on their feet. Education requirements include marine and business training and a captain's license. Cynthia would be happy to have a work experience student with her for a couple of days.
