The Rotaract Club of Surrey is proud to participate in this National Forest Week event celebrating trees and helping grow Surrey’s urban forest—and you’re invited to join us!
What to expect
- Plant 500+ new trees and shrubs
- Enjoy nature-themed activities and meet local forest stewards
- Receive a free BBQ lunch for planters (hot dog—beef or veggie, chips, and a drink; while supplies last)
When & where
- 10am–1pm (park open dawn to dusk—feel free to explore before or after)
- Picnic shelters and play areas, a short walk from the parking lot
- Free parking in the main lot off 80 Ave across from 159 St
- Enjoy the 1.8 km nature trail loop or stroll through blooming Fleetwood Gardens
Good to know
- Rain or shine; all tools and training provided
- Dress to get dirty and wear sturdy closed-toe shoes
- Leashed dogs welcome (please clean up after your pet)
- Accessible parking and washrooms available in the 80 Ave lot; event area is flat and grassy
- Bring a blanket or lawn chair if you’d like; pack in and pack out if you bring your own picnic
- Don’t forget your camera—lots of great photo opportunities
