Phase 2
9 Oct 2016 Today is the launch of our flagship community service project. The Rotary Club of Jerrabomberra was joined by Queanbeyans administrator Tim Overall and author Nichole Overall. The refurbishment of station one took approximately one hour after the opening ceremony. There are a total of 9 stations we will spurs up so if you would like to get involved click on the volunteer signup link in the menu to the left.

23 Oct 2016 - Paul Robey and his happy band of helpers: Anton, Paul Roger, Sue Roger, Liz, and Kaz fixed up this tired looking station. Now it looks brand new. Thank you team.

4 Dec 16 - Not happy with being just another handyman Paul Roger took the lead on this station. With the help of Glenda, Glenn, Cathy, Colin, and Liz the team whipped this station into shape. Now the public can enjoy working out on newly refurbished equipment and those who choose not to workout have something nice to look at.

16 July 17 - After taking some time off from the last station we had a full crew out to work on station 4 and 5. Thank you to Cathy, Paul, David, Bruce, Ian and special thanks to Josh Delaney for providing youthful energy to do the hard work on station 5. Station 5 required the removal of a cement block that anchored the old sign in place then the installation of a new sign.

18 July 17 - With rain threatening all day we finished this station just before it began to rain. Afterword's the hard working Rotarians when to the local café Suppeto's for coffee and light lunch.

25 July 17 - As you can see from the dates we are really on a roll now. Now that we are further along the fitness trail the best access point is now from Mariners Court. Since we parked next to the last station number 9 we decided to work on it before station 7 and 8. This is the balance beam which is low to the ground and with all the bending to sand and paint our backs were glad when we finished. Again we had coffee and lunch at Suppeto's, this is becoming a habit.

1 Aug 17 - Station 7 was another station that required some hard work. With the skills we learned from Ian and Josh on station 5 Paul and Bruce set out to install the new dip bench at station 7. In the morning we removed the old bench and cement footings then we took a break for lunch and to get supplies from Bunnings. Guess where we went to lunch? That's right Suppeto's.

3 Aug 17 - Today I reported to the club that the major refurbishment part of this project is finished however we are not done. Jerra Rotary is planning a grand re-opening of the fitness trail on 8 October 2017 one day prior to the 1 year anniversary of starting the renovation. Between now and then I will organize a day where we go in force for a tidy up of each station. Jerra Rotary is partnering with Anytime Fitness Jerra to introduce the community to the fitness trail and give motivation to use it. Thank you to all who had a hand in this project.
