Making Life a Little Easier
The Jerra Rotary Club had the pleasure of assisting a local Jerrabomberra family as well as TADACT (Technology for Ageing and Disability ACT) in making life a little easier.
Jerra Rotary assists a Jerrabomberra family
Jordan Thomas who is now 6 years old, was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome when she was 14 months old, it is a neuro-developmental disorder that affects girls almost exclusively.
Over the years TADACT (www.tadact.org.au), has helped the family change their home to allow them better mobility to move Jordan around in her wheel chair.
Jerra Rotary was approached by TADACT, seeking assistance for a change table for her mother Kelly to be able to change Jordan, the change table was purchased by Jerrabomberra Rotary through TADACT.
"Through my association with the Jerra Rotary Club, I continue to be blessed with the ability to help and enrich others lives in ways I never thought possible.
Listening to Kelly explain Jordan’s advancement of Rett Syndrome, and looking into Jordan’s little 6 year old blue eyes has truly humbled me in ways I can’t explain. We do great things at Jerra, and I thank you all."
