History of the Club - Charter
During January, February and March of 1962 a survey of Waikerie was carried out by the Rotary Club of Loxton to ascertain the interest in forming a Rotary Club for the district of Waikerie. On Saturday 26th May a meeting was held at the Waikerie Hotel where it was decided to form a provisional club. At the time there were 23 members but this later increased to 27. The Club was admitted to the membership of Rotary International on the 10th August 1962.

On Saturday 10th November 1962 the Charter was presented by the District Governor, Mr H H Cartledge, in the presence of 350 guests and visitors.
