Theresa Hardiker - Classification Talk
Posted by Dan Kammerer
Theresa gave a great presentation about herself, her career and family. Theresa has a degree in Education, and is the Manager of Special Features and Marketing Director for the Medicine Hat News. Her responsibilities are three-fold: overseeing publications and managing both the "Newspapers in Education" program and community development.
Theresa is married to husband Stuart, and they have two children, Timora, age 11
and
is away one month, and then home for one month. It keeps Theresa hopping as she
works full time and has full family responsibility when her husband is working
overseas. She prefers it when her husband is on the one month rotation at home!
Theresa and her husband love cruising on their motorbikes with their kids. Theresa
rides a bright pink
Speed Triple Triumph motorcycle. You go girl!
July 28, 2009 Cashier: April Ruzycki Greeter: Donna Yancie-Schneider Program: Classification Talk, Theresa Hardiker Meeting Notes: * Renee Herman announced that although she is "Past President," we still have to hear from her on occasion (we all think this is a pretty good thing!). Renee introduced new member, Theresa Hardiker to do her Classification Talk. * Terry Cooper presented a summary report of the Stampede Raffle. Although sales were up from last year, (approximately $1,900), the gross profit is not yet known (40% of that will go to Stampede). Terry advised that sales were down on Saturday (as compared to 2008), which may have been due to lower Stampede gate attendance recorded on that day. There was much discussion about the raffle and it was noted that the new booth location was excellent. Terry suggested we may need to evaluate the cost of our prize packages, and look at lowering this cost in order to make a solid profit. He also thanked all volunteers who participated in operating the booth and selling tickets. * Sgt.-At-Arms Bill Cooper did his usual excellent work (all for the good of Rotary of course!) * All Club Members are reminded that Dues Are Due! * Reminder: DG Steve Allan visits September 1 & the Mayor's Breakfast is October 20 Next Week - Aug 4: Cashier - Bill Lloyd Greeter/Newsletter - Kambi Heywood Program - Business Meeting - Committees meet too!
