President Craig called the meeting to order precisely on schedule at 7:15.  A total of 16 members and one guest were in attendance.

The Program for the meeting was the Classification talk from one of the two founding members still active, Mr. Ted Rodych.

Ted hails from Saskatchewan and began his working career in Saskatoon in 1974. Ted met and married his wife Donna in 1981 and they have lived in a variety of locations including Calgary from 1986 to 1989.

 
Ted spoke of the excitement and enjoyment of living in Calgary during the 1988 Olympics as well as the birth of their daughter Stephanie in 1989.  The Rodych’s arrived in Medicine Hat in 1995 where Ted began his work with the local Co-op.   In the 19 years Ted has been involved with the Co-op it has grown to a 200 million dollar retail store with 25 locations and 250 employees.

As one of the Charter members of Sunrise Rotary Ted shared his pride in the work of the Club.  He served as President and recalled the first international project of the Club that provided water heaters for an orphanage in Russia.  Ted looks forward to 2014 including the wedding of his daughter in July.

1.       Clare thanked all those that assisted with the distribution of the dictionaries and encouraged more volunteers next year.

2.       Bonnie gave a shout out for the Mexican Fiesta.  Please mark your calendars for May 3 at the MH Lodge.  Clare will collect silent auction items and NEW addition is Kool Ray and the Hip Kats will be performing….. Tickets will be available SOON.

3.       President Craig reminder everyone that the Rotary District Conference is in Lethbridge this April AND MEDICINE HAT will host the district conference next year.
