Milvia Bauman presented her Classification Talk, and gave us insight into her life journey. She was born in Italy, and came to Canada at age six. From then, it was seventeen moves including cities in the US.

Milvia's first career was in banking, as a commercial lending officer, for CIBC, in Medicine Hat. She was the fist female to hold that position, and did so for twenty years. After the birth of her daughter, Milvia decided to stay home, and volunteer work became her preoccupation. She was the President of the Canadian Cancer Society, and also became involved with the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Milvia decided to give real estate a whirl, but the hours were not conducive to family life. The family business lured her in, as well as the Medicine Hat & District Chamber of Commerce, where she now holds the title of President. Milvia stated that her passion is giving back to the community, which she has proven to do!

Meeting Notes:

- Dan reminded us that tickets are available for pre sale, for our upcoming Stampede JACKPOT Raffle. Please sign-up for volunteer spots, during the Stampede.

- Jace reported that there is a Board Meeting tonight.

- Sharla announced that our club received a President's Citation Award.

- Donna mentioned the June 5th meeting at the Medicine Hat College, room B201, 6:30pm, for a brainstorming session, regarding Fundraising for the St. Pat's Outdoor Classroom Project.

- Clare let us know that our club received a thank you from St. Mary's Academy Choir, for winning our plaque.

- Syl circulated pledge sheets for the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, taking place June 2, at 2pm.

- Sergeant-at-arms, Bill Cooper, collected happy dollars and fines, and then was the ticket winner for the 50/50 draw. Unfortunately, the ACE of spades was not drawn. Next week the starting amount will be $443.50!!!!!!
