Carolyn Ferguson, Major Gifts Officer from The Rotary Foundation attended today to present on the work that the many ways the Rotary Foundation helps Rotarians do good in the world.
She also had the opportunity to present Dan Kammerer and Cheryl Shabatura with special recognition as being members of the Bequest Society. And further to that, Glen Christensen was given his Paul Harris Fellow(+3). Through the generosity of Rotarians monetary, time and effort contributions, there are truly many examples of great work.
Of significance as of late, is the Polio Plus Program, which continues to show successes. There have been 24 new cases of polio reported this year. Amazing that in 1988 there were over 350,000, and at this time last year there were 52. Progress is being made. Rotarians are a major part of that progress
