A Visit from FES!
Milan Vujovic from the Medicine Hat Club gave an overview of the Student Exchange Program and asked our club to look for students that would be interested in doing an exchange abroad – contact Milan from the noon club for further information.
Southern Alberta Rotary clubs are hosting 18 students in the upcoming year, and are looking of host families to assist in helping out, and giving the students an experience of a life time.
Baptiste (France) and Ploy (Thailand) both shared their experience of their “Canadian” life this past year and how being involved in this program has changed their lives. They have participated in building a home in Mexico, learned new sports not common in their home land – Baseball, Football and Wrestling. They have experienced other Canadian sports including Ice Skating, Skiing, Snowboarding and Ice Fishing. Ploy wants to help people make the world a better place, and this experience has helped her in achieving this goal. Her parents sent away a child & will be getting back an adult woman back.

- Keith Walker – as incoming President it's tradition for him to participate in the Walk a Mile in her Shoes challenge, however he won’t be here that weekend, and Syl has stepped up to the “heels” for this challenge. They are recommending that any donations made to them for this challenge, be matched by Club dollars. If you want to make a donation contact either Keith or Syl.
- Glen Christensen – The District will match points for Paul Harris – Rotary Foundation. If you make a contribution of $500US, they will match with points. This offer is available until June 15. Contact Glen for more information.
- District Conference will be held in Medicine Hat in May 2015 – contact Mike Christie if you want to be involved.
- Claire collect a number fines and Happy Dollars, and there was not lucky winner of the 50/50 draw.
