A day for Updates...
Coreen Dolan gave the club an update on our Short-term exchange student Marshall who is currently in Europe. Marshall has written the Coreen several times while overseas. He says that his host family has taken him along on their summer vacation. They have traveled from Belgium to Switzerland and all over Italy. On his last e-mail he was staying in a villa with 20 other people who were family members and friends of his host family. He is having a wonderful time.
Bill Cooper gave the club an overview and update with our 'Viva Las Vegas' night which will be held on Friday, November 27. There was a bit of an issue in obtaining a liquor license for the event but that was resolved and the evening will go as planned. This year we will be selling the liquor instead of the Cypress Centre. This hopefully will lead to some additional profit. The invitations will read "Member and Invited Guests". We anticipate selling 400 tickets along with 200 corporate sponsor tickets. The event will be from 6:30 pm - 11:00 pm.
