G’day fellow GMR members.
The latest news on our trivia team is that we have experienced most positions in the rankings now. With
Tony and Leanne enjoying their time in sunny Queensland our table of knowledge has been lacking. We look
forward to their return. Our current team consists of Tony, Leanne, Phil, Yvonne, Ray, Donna and myself.
There is still plenty of room for more team members. So, if you would like to enjoy a night trivia and laughter
come along at 6:30pm for a 7pm start.

 

Don’t forget Bob’s defibrillator project with the Village Green Hotel having a defibrillator available to the public 24/7. A fun(d)raiser is planned for Thursday 6th July. Tickets will be $55 per head with $20
going towards our program. Tickets can be purchased at the Crown Hotel. Yes, that’s correct, the Crown.

 

Don, Herman and myself went to Dougherty Villa for our monthly lunch. This time it was hot dogs. The guys
there look forward to this day each month. Although they appeared to be a little disappointed that their
usual beer was not on offer. They enjoy conversations and introduction with others who they do not see
each day. A day out for most would be for medical appointments. It’s a male only day, but it would be good
for all concerned to give an hour and a half just to make they day.

Our change over dinner plans are coming along and tickets can now be purchased via EFT or square at our
meetings.

Late May our member Chris Lynch hosted Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea with close to $5000 raised from
our generous community and Chris’s hard work and connections. Well done Chris! These funds go to the
Cancer Council to help with their great work.
