Our President Bob Booth is away for 3 weeks and Vice President Robert Blanchard chaired the meeting.
We had the pleasure of having Zane Venter as a guest who has applied to attend RYTS.
Our prayers and thoughts were made for all the fire victims in the valley and to the Firefighters who have been working around the clock. Peter Robinson had spoken to the District Governor and a Donation Line will be set up and ROTARY GRANTS for FIRE VICTIMS will be available – more information to come.
Peter also talked about the Christmas Carols on the 30th November and outlined the assistance required and will be rostering helpers this week. Please let Peter know if you can assist on the night, beforehand and afterwards. It should be a great night for the community of the Clarence Valley.
Bunnings BBQ dates have been confirmed for 2020 – being April 4th and September 5th – Judy Glasson will be after assistance at these fundraising events.
Leila reported that the workshop for the Birthing Kits on Saturday was a success with another 150 packs completed – the total number of kits donated is now at 600! Well done Leila and your team of helpers.
As it was an Assembly meeting the directors gave their reports of the board meeting. Importantly we now have a vacancy for a YOUTH DIRECTOR - if you would like to discuss this or have an interest in this position please contact Robert Blanchard.
Don Cardow will be collecting plastic bottle tops next week – if you have been saving them up please bring them in next week.
The Christmas party is set for the 15th December 2019 at the South Grafton Bowling Club – Enjoy a Fun afternoon – please feel free to invite your family and friends – PLEASE RSVP this Wednesday or let Jenny Hyland know – we have a facebook event set up too.
Wednesday nights Midday Rotary enjoy the Trivia night at Roches and I would like to remind you that all Rotary members, family and friends are welcome - numbers required at the lunch meeting. The ladies of Rotary also attended the Jacaranda Hotel for some fun at Musical Bingo - another fun night of fellowship.
