Rotary Celebrates 108 Years

On the 23rd February 2013 a number of our members were in Grafton Shopping world to celebrate the 108th Birthday of Rotary.

As a Club we are thankful to Grafton Shopping World for their support and help. We distributed pieces of our birthday cake and what was left over was donated to one of our aged care homes. My thanks to hard work who participated and contributed to this event.

Our display featured a Disaster Aid Australian Box. These boxes as the photo shows include a tent cooking, eating utensils, bedding and quite extensive range tools which would enable family to live when they have been struck by a natural disaster. These boxes are purchased by Clubs around Australia and are then warehoused ready to be dispatched as quickly as within 24 hours of disaster occurring anywhere in the world, a remarkable effort for a voluntary service organisation.
