This email was received earlier in the week regarding postponement of the movie The Duke as the official date of release has been pushed back.
Given the amount of events that our club has in December, especially now that Jacaranda is now from 3rd to 12th December, Peter & Jenny H have looked into a possible postponement for this event. In conjunction with the Saraton who suggested that it would definitely be better to postpone it from the December date of Sunday 12th December to another date in late January / Feb 2022, the event will now be postponed.
Saturday 11th December is the Bunnings BBQ event in conjunction with the Black Dog institute along with Sunday morning 12th December is the Jacaranda River run so we can continue to focus all of our energies onto these events now.
I hope this postponement won't cause anyone too much inconvenience, but I believe is a good decision.

this year’s Polio Movie Instead of Boxing Day, the public release of THE DUKE will now be 31st March:
- clubs that have arranged events in December do not need to reschedule their event,
- clubs can now arrange multiple screenings if they wish,
- the movie has just been voted the No.1 film at the British Film Festival,
- we have a video clip (in cinema format) that can be played before the movie (details below).
Please note that some cinemas will prefer that Rotary events run in March. This is a matter for clubs to discuss with their local cinema.
Club take-up of the movie this year has been particularly strong—partly because it’s such a fun movie but also because it’s time we got together and had some fun! Thank you for supporting this event.
