What Is Dragon Boating? 

Dragon Boating is a centuries old sport which originated in China over 2000 years ago. It is practiced competitively and socially and can be found in more than 30 countries around the world. Dragon boating is a fun and accessible sport for people of all ages and fitness levels.

Beating drums, timing, rhythm, shouted encouragement and dragon boats rushing by in a blaze of colour. This is all part of the excitement and action of dragon boat racing, one of the most popular sports in the world today. Grafton Dragon Boat Club was established in 2006 and paddles on the beautiful Clarence River at Grafton.
