work together to support global literacy!
Basic Education & Literacy is one of Rotary's seven areas of focus
so this was a project we could not pass up the opportunity to assist with.
Better World Books (www.betterworldbooks.com) is "the socially responsible bookstore with cheap new & used books at bargain prices. Quality bookseller with free shipping that donates a book for every book purchase".
In the month of March, our Rotary Club teamed up with the Hamlin Community Library
to put together boxes of books to be donated.
This was a huge task and we are glad we were able to assist them!
Many of these items have not sold at book sales and are now sent off to Better World Books. Better World Books takes donations that are then sold or donated to support global literacy efforts.
