Rotary’s Global Reach: Bringing Shelter, Safety, and Hope When Disaster Strikes
When disasters and conflicts turn lives upside down, immediate shelter isn't just about a roof over someone's head—it’s about dignity, safety, and a place to rebuild. We are proud to share that our Rotary Club is an official ShelterBox Bronze HERO Donor! As an official global Project Partner of Rotary International, ShelterBox works hand-in-hand with local Rotarians on the ground to deliver life-saving equipment directly to families who have lost everything.
What our annual $1,000 donation does: Provides 1 Complete Shelter Package (including a heavy-duty family tent, thermal blankets, water filtration, solar lighting, and cooking supplies), OR Helps 10 displaced families restock and repair their emergency shelter essentials.
Where this aid goes:From earthquake survivors in Turkey, Syria, and Morocco to families displaced by conflict and extreme climate events in places like Ukraine, Sudan, Gaza, Ethiopia, and the Philippines—Rotary and ShelterBox are among the first on the ground.
More than temporary aid: While ShelterBox tents and kits are designed for rapid emergency relief, the reality in many severely affected regions is that recovery takes years. In places facing long-term displacement, these durable tents and materials become so essential that families pack them up and take them along if they are forced to relocate again—serving as their primary home for as long as it takes to rebuild. Service doesn't stop at our town borders. Through Rotary’s global network, every contribution right here in our community reaches across the world to bring hope where it’s needed most.
