Ella Bentler (North Pocono High School), Carley Garzilla (North Pocono High School) and Jonathan Dwyer (Western Wayne High School) attended the RYLA event at Keystone College in June. They each enthusiastically shared their experiences, memories, favorite speakers, and involvements in the activities during this multi-day event. They were pushed out of their comfort zones, but the rewards and personal growth they expressed were heartwarming to hear.
Cell phones were not permitted, and Carley stated that often information on cell phones draws you down, and without them there was less drama and a more positive experience.
They can’t wait to return next year as Junior Counselors.
