Rotarians present the Western Wayne School District with cases of coats through Operation Warm on behalf of the Rotary Club of Hamlin/Lake Ariel!

On Friday, December 7th, members of the Rotary Club of Hamlin/Lake Ariel met at the Western Wayne Middle School to deliver cases of coats that will be distributed to children throughout the district. The coats were purchased through Operation Warm using money our club raised, a district grant, and a grant from Operation Warm themselves.

"Since 1998, Operation Warm Has Gifted Nearly 3 Million Brand New Coats to Children in Need. We work with community organizations, volunteers, companies and families across North America to provide warmth, confidence and hope." (source: www.operationwarm.org)

The Rotary Club of Hamlin/Lake Ariel was introduced to Operation Warm when one of our members shared a story about a personal experience with the program. A child they knew was gifted a jacket from an individual who obtained it through Operation Warm. It touched the hearts of our members and it was a unanimous decision that we should pursue this project as we believe no child should be jacket-less and cold during the long Pennsylvania winter.
