Turnout for the Chili Cook-off held at the Hamlin Fire Company's Bingo Hall on Saturday April 1 was terrific! Attendees enjoyed sampling a dozen chili offerings, each with a distinctly different flavor. 20 baskets and other items were offered for raffle and the 50/50 prize topped $200. Wine sampling was offered courtesy of Wood Winery and music was provided by the Violent Rutabagas.
 
Judging was by people's choice with 3 ballots per ticket. Winners were announced in the following categories: Individuals- Larry Ditty, Fire and EMS- Hemlock Farms Fire Company, Restaurants and Taverns: R Place in Hamlin. Each winner was awarded a $100 prize. Funds raised through this event allows Rotary to continue its mission to improve lives at both the local and international levels, from helping families in need in our own town to working toward a polio-free world.
