Tree Lighting, Snacks, Crafts, Gifts, and Santa!
The Annual Community Tree Lighting at the Salem Township on Route 590 in Hamlin was a success!
Dozens of children visited the Salem Twp Building in the spirit of the holiday season on Saturday December 8th to snag a photo with Santa while enjoying crafts and snacks with their families!
With the help of NBT Bank, Ladies of the Eastern Star, and Hamlin Fire & Rescue, the Rotary Club of Hamlin/Lake Ariel and the Salem Twp Supervisors were able to put together an excellent event for the community for the second year in a row.
Any child who brought a canned good for the area food pantries or an unwrapped toy for the Children's Christmas Bureau received a ticket for a basket to win at the end of the event! The volunteers for the event were overly generous with their basket donations and we had enough baskets for every child who attended.
