Following Wednesday's Rotary meeting 16 keen Rotarians/spouses headed to the Red Cross training room at 35 Cadbury Road for a 3 hour basic First Aid Course.
Mary, our tutor, made the time fly by with an informative hands-on workshop. Subject matter covered included; primary assessment, stable side positioning, CPR, how to use a Defibrillator, choking, bleeding, shock and wound care, fractures and sprains, medical conditions such as heart attack and strokes, poisoning and burns.
Everyone came away refreshed in their knowledge of being able to help out if need be in a medical event.
