Our Club has a Club Constitution which provides the rules of a Rotary Club and the content is decided by Rotary International. The Constitution also includes Club Bylaws which can be altered by the club provided it does not conflict with the constitution.

We have provided a brief summary of the bylaws here:
Article 1 The club elects a President, President-elect, Secretary, Treasurer and four members of the Board of Directors at the annual meeting. 
                Together with the immediate Past President, the elected officers constitute a Board of Directors. The President shall appoint a                                              Sergeant at Arms.
                Vacancies are elected by remaining Board members
                All newly elected Board members shall attend a District Training Assembly before taking office
 
Article 2 The governing body of the club shall be the Board of Directors.
 
Article 3 Duties of Officers
                 President presides at meetings of the Club and Board
                 President-elect presides in absence of President
                 Secretary keeps the records, records attendance and minutes, and reports to Rotary International as required.
                 Treasurer has custody of all funds, reporting to the club annually and the Board monthly
                 Sergeant at Arms performs duties as usually prescribed for such office, and as prescribed by the President and the Board.
 
Article 4 Annual General Meeting shall be held in December each year for election of officers.
                Regular weekly meetings of the club must count members as present or absent and attendance must be evidenced by the member                       being present for at least 60% of the time of the meeting either at this club or another Rotary club
                One third of membership is a quorum.
                Regular meetings of the Board shall be held each month.
                Five members of the Board is a quorum.
 
Article 5 An admission fee decided by the Board shall be paid by all new members. 
                 Membership fees decided by the board shall be paid annually on 1st of July or semi annually on 1st July and 1st January.
                 A discount decided by the Board shall be granted for annual payments received before 30th September.
 
 Article 6 Voting shall be by voice except election of officers and directors which shall be by ballot.
 
Article 7 The President shall appoint the following committees, and a chairman for each from the Board
                    Club Service
                    Vocational Service
                    Community Service
                    International Service
                Committees shall consist of a Chairman and at least two members
                President can attend all committees as a member
                Committees should provide for continuity of membership, by appointing one or more members to two year terms.
                Committees should not take action until approved by the Board.
                President may appoint one or more committees for youth activities under one or all of the other committees.
 
Article 8 Club Service Committee is responsible for attendance, club bulletin, club program, fellowship and public relations.
                President elect supervises Classification, Membership, Membership Development and Rotary Information activities of club service
                Vocational Service committee is responsible for plans to guide and assist members in their responsibilities in their vocations and                          vocational relationships and improving standards of practice in their vocations.
                Community Service committee is responsible for plans to guide and assist members in their responsibilities in their community                            relationships.
                International Service Committee is responsible for plans to guide and assist members in their responsibilities in matters relating to                     international service. 
 
Article 9 Leave of absence may be granted for up to six months on written application. 
 
Article 10 Treasurer shall deposit all funds in a bank nominated by the board.
                   Payments shall  be made only by cheque signed by two officers authorised. Officers suthorised shall be President, Secretary and                          Treasurer.
                   An audit of the club's transactions shall be conducted once a year.
                   Financial year shall be 1st July to 30th June, and payments to Rotary International shall be made on 1st July and 1st January.
                  Annual accounts shall be presented to members by the board.
                  Board shall prepare a budget at the beginning of each year.
 
Article 11 Election of new members
                  Names of prospective members are presented to Board
                  Candidate attends at least two meetings
                  Candidate receives an information pack
                  Candidate completes  a membership proposal application and submits to board
                  Name classification and sponsor published in Club Bulletin
                  If no objections received by seven days after publication, member is declared elected
                  Formally inducted into club
