Prosthetic Limb Clinic in Ethiopia
Our club has secured a $75,000 Global Grant to establish a limb-making workshop at the Gondar University Hospital in northern Ethiopia. The project manager, Assistant Governor Roger White has worked, for many years, with the Rotary Jaipur Limb, a UK based charity which establishes and equips workshops within hospitals across the African continent. Also working on the project is our member Wein Dimetros, a native of Ethiopia. Please view our short video available on the Video Links at the left.
Our partner club in Ethiopia is RC Gondar Fasilides but, in total, there are nine clubs and three districts which have contributed funds along with The Rotary Foundation. Consultation services and technical expertise are provided by The Rotary Jaipur Limb.
