Our Speaker  Dennis McConaghy
Bruce Graham introduced our keynote speaker, Dennis McConaghy, formerly of
TCPL who spoke about the state of the petroleum industry, how demand relates to environmental issues and geopolitical circumstances such as Trump, Paris Accord, Carbon Tax and competitiveness.

Dennis had a 30 year career in the Canadian energy industry, was on the executive team on the Keystone pipeline projects, Dennis is a public policy and energy studies fellow with the Ivey School of Business, and has worked his whole career to find the balance between the energy industry and the environment. For more information about this, you can go to his blog “Dialogues on Canadian Energy”.

WCS Annual Report 2016-17
We have posted a copy of the Annual Report for WCS for the Rotary year 2016-17 on the web site.  (Annual Report 2016-2017)  We are not printing it and mailing it out in order to save costs.  If you need a copy please let us know and we will make one for you.

We are pleased to be able to advise that we have managed to delay sufficient projects to be able to make the final “best efforts” payment to CAWST.  Due to budget constraints we have not made a further commitment at this time; however, we will continue to work with CAWST on projects where it is mutually beneficial to us and to CAWST.  We believe that they are doing a fantastic job and value our relationship with them.
