******SPECIALMEETING *******
On Tuesday May 3rd we have a very special lunch meeting celebrating Rotary and Calgary’s vibrant community! Join us at the Palliser Hotel as we recognize key organizations and institutions that have played a role in our community throughout the last century, including Rotary (Downtown, Calgary West, and Calgary South), the Universities of Alberta, Calgary, Lethbridge, Olds College, Calgary Zoo, Glenbow Museum, and the Calgary Stampede. In addition we will recognize Marmie Hess, who holds our Community and all of these organizations in special regard on the occasion of her 100th Birthday! Tickets will be available for pre-sale via ClubRunner at a price of $55. (There will be no coffee option that day). Please call Jo-Ann at the office if you have any questions or issues when purchasing your tickets.

The Meeting April 26, 2016
By Barb Burggraf
Rob Brookwell and the head table were clapped into the Alberta room. George Brookman led us in a music free rendition of Oh Canada. We were mostly in tune. John Seigner gave a thoughtful invocation. Rob thanked the volunteers.
George Brookman introduced a very special speaker, Adam Legge who joined the Calgary Chamber as the President and CEO in September of 2010. He is the youngest president in the Chamber’s history, and continues to build on the 120 year history of those who came before. Previous to joining the Calgary Chamber, Adam held the role of Vice President and Chief Economist with Calgary Economic Development. There he became recognized as an authority in local economic performance and conditions, and delivered many economic analyses including an annual economic outlook which became the largest economic outlook event of its kind in Canada.
