The head table entered the room to clapping with hands over head to the tune of YMCA played by our own Michael Pierson on piano. Ralph Lundberg provided a heartfelt invocation referring to recent natural disasters and referencing the fires in Fort McMurray.
Helene Weir (as many of you know as a member of our club) is the CEO of the YMCA Calgary. She joined the YMCA in 1983 and in increasingly senior positions, has had a profound impact by helping improve the lives of people in our community and fulfill a vision where every Calgarian can belong, grow, thrive and lead. Helene was recently named Women’s Executive Network (WXN) 2015 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winner !!!
We need hundreds of volunteers to cater two of the largest parties in the city, and you can register yourself, as well as your friends and family, to volunteer at the Stampede Roundup and/or the Oxford Stomp by following the registration links below.
As we are continuing our efforts build a database of reliable volunteers, we really need a valid email address and phone number for each volunteer you sign up.
