With the end of 2016 nearing just a few things:
 
Reminder if you are sending in a donation to The Rotary Foundation, please ensure the cheque is made payable to The Rotary Foundation and in the office no later than December 21st in order to be mailed to Rotary International (TRF).  If it is not post marked before the end of December a tax receipt may not be issued for 2016.  Or, donations can be made on line directly to TRF https://www.rotary.org/myrotary/en/rotary-foundation
 
The office will be closed from December 23rd until January 2, 2016.
 
And just a reminder that the office Suite number only has changed from 300 to 305 due to the renovations at the Kahanoff Centre.  We have not physically moved.

Meeting of December 6
Introduction by Sid. Oh Canada. Invocation by Bev Gallagher.
 
We had four guests from the United Way including present CEO Dr. Lucy Miller and incoming CEO Karen Young.  Also in attendance was CPS’ Deputy Chief Trevor Daroux and three guests from the City of Calgary.
 
At Carmen’s urging we sang “Merry” Birthday to all, including the two in attendance, George Brookman and Charles Pratt.

Signature Legacy Presentation and Vote
The Motion:  The Rotary Club of Calgary members hereby approve the Community Hubs Initiative presented to the Club as its next multi-year Signature Legacy Project on the basis of a $300,000 commitment per year for five (5) years commencing the 2017-2018 Rotary Year with an additional $500,000 raised no later than the end of the 2021-2022 Rotary Year subject to Board approval from time to time.
 
The motion was moved by President Sid, read to the meeting, and was seconded by Michael Broadhurst.
 
After some insightful questions and concerns, the voting took place and was recorded as follows:

The motion carried.
