Today we had an update for the Community Hubs Initiative specifically on the work that has been carried out in Greater Forest Lawn.
Karen Young, President & CEO of United Way, along with former Mount Royal University students, Marina Campbell and Alyssa Stewart, led the presentation with an update on Youth Engagement work in the Greater Forest Lawn area.
Interested in volunteering to get more involved in Community Hubs? If so, please consider the volunteer opportunity at the Bob Bahan Aquatic & Fitness Centre, a Hub location in Greater Forest Lawn.
Get active this Family Day, February 19th, to help engage with residents and have fun at the same time! Volunteers are needed to help skate with residents and make them feel confident on the ice, as well as to help with making hot chocolate, giving out loaner skates, help with the arts & crafts station, and to clean-up at the end of the event. Shift is from 12:45 p.m. – 3: 15 p.m.
