After forest fires and the pandemic, the Waterton-Glacier Peace Park Conference is back!
It alternates between the US and Canada and this year is in Waterton. It is a wonderful opportunity to support Rotary’s great accomplishment in founding of the Peace Park movement, soon to celebrate 100 years.
It is being held in the historic School community conference centre with lots of activities scheduled outside in the fresh air in the park. There is a hike along the lake, a boat ride crossing the border (bring your passport and get the worlds only Rotary passport stamp at Goat’s head station) and a golf game at Waterton’s historic golf course.
Speakers include the Producer of Rick Steeves travel show and other Rotarians on Peace and the Environment. Do not wait as rooms are being held for a limited time as interest in the park has increased as some scenes of the famous show “the Last of Us” were shot there. There is a redeveloped campground now finished for RV’s and campers but first come, first serve.
