We gathered at the Ranchman's Club and David Bromwich led us in signing O'Canada. Rick Erven provided a thought provoking invocation and the meeting began!

Carmen Goss then introduced the guests and acknowledged the club birthdays!
 
Alan Tennant reintroduced himself to the Club. He is the current CEO of CREB and has 25 years of experience in the field of real estate serving a wide range of leadership roles within the industry. Alan was actually a founding member of the Airdrie Rotary Club but left as he was in the process of building his business. He told our group that he is stubbornly in for the long haul this time! He and his wife have moved to Calgary and he is excited to be apart of our Club. We are happy to have him too!  
 
Madeleine King then introduced Peter Giuffre. Peter is a Calgarian happily married to Wendy with a blended family of 5, ranging from 16 to 25 years old. Peter has been in the business world for most of his life. Starting at age 7 Peter worked at the Stampede! Following which he worked in retail sales for department stores in high school and running his own light construction and hauling business while attending post secondary school. For 18 years peter worked for an international shipping company, working his way up to Vice President. He spent time after that on the west coast working for the government while owning 2 successful appliance stores. Throughout his business career Peter has bought, rented and sold property and remains an active real estate investor. Peter also has volunteer experience for the Calgary boys choir, Mustard Seed and he has coached baseball and soccer. His interest in Rotary is that we are committed to helping communities and people both locally and globally. He is looking forward to volunteering and networking with like minded people in our club. Welcome Peter!
