Thanks to Rotary Colleagues for Ideas and Support
Doug McMillan

World Community Service members are appreciative of the ideas and support of other members of the Rotary Club of Calgary Downtown (RCCD), on this occasion recognizing the assistance of the Small Donations Committee.
Although the size of our club may mean we sometimes operate separately, we have  great opportunity to learn from one another. Inspired by the Annual Report pamphlet sent by the Small Donations Committee a few months ago, World Community Service (WCS) is mailing our annual report  for 2023-2024 to all members of RCCD (although only one to households with two Rotarians).

We are especially thankful for the assistance of Small Donations Committee Chair, Michael Pierson, and his office colleagues for formatting and printing of this brochure. Rotarians helping Rotarians!

I also thank WCS members who contributed to this report and who initiated/guided the programs indicated in our pamphlet.

As WCS Chair, I would also note that we may have opportunities to share program ideas. For example, childhood literacy is a major focus for RCCD in Calgary while WCS contributes to projects in this area in Cambodia and Guatemala. Any club member (or other Rotary colleague) who would like to explore opportunities and share ideas is welcome to contact me to arrange further discussion.
